Hawks stunk 5x5 and 4x4...

Hawks Pp great..but you know the game us pkayed more at evens..

Brdard five into but -4 as was AlecMatinez whovralky stunk today..

Example Martinez stand rgere and let's Close forechevker hassle Mrazek as Mrazek mishandled puck behind net...lucky that did not resuktvin a goal agaibst..butcnezt shift out Martinez again stands and watches not doing anything g to check and Clbs scores..He was coasting out there today. Not hustling.Coastingcand watching stationary =recipe for disaster

Sure en goals lead to -1s also so realky Bedard and Martinez "onlt" -3.. + 1 negative cosmetic extra -1..butcstill -3 at evens nothing to cheer about.

Fact is Bedard libexatcevebs stunk ind-zone ..hemnedvi and chasedxaroubd in futile fail tovstopattack especially vs. Active Columbus D..Notcakk on Brdard..hisvlibemayes awful defensive dong too..Still itbis what it is. CLBS exploited checkingvweaknrssbif Bedard line at evens .Easy to ebofbit...I do not think you can live just opposite goals..as proven by this game .Hawks soecial teams fine..Hawks at evems=atrocious both ways.

Final team totals..CLNS +29 Hawks -30..

And Hawksplay Toronto tomorrow night..

Rinse and Repeat...The Tank to Martone matches on!

Eye test for me.

He doesn’t have that one trait to lean on and he’s not even worthy of playing bottom pairing on the worst team in the league right now.
Skating and compete are both plus traits. He looks in over his head right now because he has to play a bigger role than he should be a this stage with Jones out

Yeah Kaiser had a bad game today but he had plenty of company. That said, perhaps consider some glasses. Certainly his skating is above NHL average as well as his compete level.

Going to need more than just skating and competing to hack it in this league. He makes a lot of really, really poor decisions.

I can see him making it as a bottom pairing guy on a bad team but don’t see him as a piece that should be blocking a better prospect directly or indirectly, like Allan.

Sure he can skate, but he isn’t McDavid and it’s not going to keep him in the league on skating alone.

Allan and Kaiser are the same tier of prospect. There are significantly bigger problems with guys like Brodie and Crevier playing ahead of Allan than there are Kaiser

Disagree. Allan has been great as a rookie and to me has second pairing upside in a shutdown role.

Crevier should never see another game in the NHL, but will.

I’ve said enough times Brodie should be scratched but won’t because he has a 2 year contract.

Kaiser isn’t much better than Crevier or Brodie.

I think you are wrong and are only looking for the bad. Of course, playing with Brodie doesn't help much. I think the verdict is still out.

Skating and compete level are two main drivers separating players from the AHL and the NHL. It does matter.

Does he make too many turnovers? Yes and I've stated such in another thread. As a 22 year old dman he needs to clean that up. Although +/- is far from a be all stat, explain to me how a dman that"makes a lot of really, really poor decisions" on a really, really, really shitty team manages a -3 over the course of 63 games in his young career? Or how his PK goals against per 60 is extremely competitive compared to his 2020 dmen draft peers?

Allan should be in the lineup. And although Allan played the right side a lot in Rockford last year and Kaiser did so when paired with Tinordi(Sorry for bringing up that name), LuRich leans on vets to play their off-side.

The McDavid line is a red herring.

Bedard has gotten going again this is what matters.

You kinda figured that as soon as he got that first goal(technically 4th but you know what I mean) the pressure would be lifted and he would start producing and performing as expected. He probably feels a giant relief and is able to focus on his game now without worrying about any kind of drought.

Maybe just maybe they should have gave Mrazek the day off…no reason for him to play as much as he has…just a thought

Or is it they don’t want Soda forcing their hand?

Time will tell and I hope I'm wrong. Will be interesting to see how he looks in a different system and with better coaching.

Kasiser can't play the game Richardson wants.

Why was Allan sitting?

Trainwreck hockey, probably set the league back a couple years but it was more entertaining than the stupid 2-1 OT losses with chip-in and icing clinic sessions.

Glad Mrazek had a rough day, last thing we need is nonsense about him being a valuable trade commodity. Nobody is parting with anything useful for him, he's a good number 1 for the Hawks in that he plays well enough and the continuity is good for the young dmen...unless they're scratched...again...for Brodie
