Value of: Colton Parayko to Habs

If Parayko were available, plenty of contending teams would offer a package better than the Habs would.

That's not a jab at the Habs in the slightest. They just aren't going to outbid a team that values futures less, and thinks they are a Parayko away from a cup.

This is the crucial thing. There are plenty of defensemen who are better than him in the league. But he's the best on the team. He fits the timeline, has been rock solid the past year and a half. It's not that we don't know his worth, just that worth changes team to team.

Fits the timeline? By the time St.Louis is good he will be past his prime.
 
We just arent gonna trade parayko. He's too valuable too us. Even an insane overpayment from you wouldn't fill his void most likely.

If you'd like Justin Faulk we'd probly give him away for armia lol.

We're going to be pretty good next year....and we look to be very good in 2027 and beyond with Dvorsky, snuggerud, stenberg, Lindstein, Jiricek joining our core of Thomas, Kyrou, Holloway, Buchnevich, Neighbours, Bolduc, Parayko, Broberg, Fowler(maybe) and Binnington + Hofer and that's not counting some of our surprise youngsters like kaskimaki or Stancl joining the fray....... Nor is it counting any potential signings or trades that may happen considering the boatload of cap space we're gonna have

Pump the breaks a bit. I could see Dvorsky and Snuggerud being on the roster next year, sure. The others would have to have huge jumps in their development to be considered though. These names are going to trickle in over the next 3 years is my guess.

I would suggest some stick to the subject of the thread or you will be excused from the thread. Your only warning, debate the potential trade and values.
 
Such a trade would only happen if the Blues GM decide to rebuild and the Habs would have to start with Reinbacher and add this year's first (top 10 protected) and a prospect like Roy/Kapanen

Change Reinbacher to Struble and we might have a deal, although I doubt the Blues would be willing to accept.
