That contract better include unlimited and on demand protein powder + peanut butter.

Best of luck to him in Colorado.

He was pretty bad last season, but maybe a new start will be good for him. He did have that good stretch of games towards the end of the season in 2014-15, so there's still hope for him.

He's never been good except in very short spurts when the Sens were going super saiyan

Horrible move for Colorado, Weircioch is absolutely awful

The speed of the east victimized him.

Now the potential for the physicality of the west to snap him.

Wish him the best though!

Colorado wanted to trade for him two years ago when he was doing well before the deadline. Apparently it was for Elliot but the deal fell apart.

It is a good fit. They need a puck moving LHD. Hes been inconsistent but not hopeless.

You guys have seen the regiment of worthless defensemen we have been rolling out in recent years right? So while Weir may suck and may not be an improvement, it's not like him being a ****** defender is going to shock and awe us.

Besides, if we can re-sign Barrie - with Zadorov and Bigras taking spots, it's hopefully going to be a deathmatch between Gelinas and Weircioch for the last spot with the loser getting the #7 spot.

Given the rumors the Avs wanted him a trade deadline ago for around a 2nd round pick in value, this is incredibly unsurprising.

What sucks is that he's on par with Gelinas and we paid a 3rd rounder for him...
