When you are on the PP and take 2-3 seconds when you get the puck to decide to skate, pass or shoot, you allow a good, aggresive PK to adjust and pressure the puck or clog passing/shotting lanes. The problem isn't just shooting more, it a porblem of trying to think their way out of it, rather than just letting instincts take over. Thinking is a 2-3 second decision, instinct is half a second.

I read in a TMV article last week that his injury was a wrist injury.

Makes sense to me why he has been AWFUL with the puck.

Doesn't make sense why he's been awful in all other facets of the game.

Positives:

- Not losing after the first 20 minutes. Usually all you can ask for in a big road game.

- Not allowing much from Dallas offensively.

- Blackwood doesn’t appear to be nervous at all.

- Smart with our sticks. Not giving the refs reasons to call penalties other than Kelly. Nate’s back check on Mikko and Coyle on the PK were good examples of this. Extended sticks into passing and interior lanes, not reaching in or hooking/slashing.

Negatives:

- PP complete shit again. No answer for Dallas’ aggressive PK.

- First game all series they are more physical than us.

- Ice total ass. Guys making crisp passes and it goes bouncing in the air. Stick handling a flat puck and it goes bouncing off the stick.

- Bednar giving bottom 6 too many offensive zone faceoffs. Not a recipe for success.
