A hit by Johnson or Stuart on someone coming across the blue line that knocks them cold would be a start

Stuart should start with not getting walked by anyone who decides to go wide and EJ should start moving the puck effectively. The last thing we need is stuart to put himself in even worse position cause he's headhunting and for EJ to take himself even more out of the game looking to scott stevens someone. Maybe once we've put some sustained pressure on them and picked up some goals, we can look for a big hit, but that's way down the list of priorities.

The second line just isn't working, Tanguay's experience and calm with the puck would help landy and mack a lot, and Ryan would slide right in next to Matty and Iginla. If they can't build up momentum early in the third I'd be down for the change to happen this game.

Barrie has played terribly in the D zone but I'm glad he's ok. They still need him big time. And he's still making a lot of good plays distributing the puck in the O zone. He showed a lot of toughness shaking that hit off too.

At this point I'm more worried about Mitchell. That will be a good test for his noggin. Hopefully he doesn't have any vision problems return after the game.

Barrie interview coming up, haha. This ought to be good, he'll probably have something funny to say about it.

If I played for the Avalanche, would it improve my chances of finding and marrying the person in the Wendy's adverts?

Well that's just ridiculous, and I've been critical of him.

MacKinnon just needs something to go right for him. A bounce or anything, really.

Mack's playing pretty much with no confidence right now, you can see it. Luckily he's still seeing the ice well and is occasionally finding the open guys for smart passes. It's generating the occasional scoring chance.

He doesn't look like he expects any of his shots to go in though. He needs that back in his game.

Don't be silly, Barrie would be an ideal bottom pairing PP specialist on a good D corps.

Wild and now Jets have made us look soft as butter.

Nah. Barrie would be fine as middle-pairing OFD. He just kind of needs to be paired constantly with a defender that knows what he is doing defensively. That has not happened really until know.
Dude is young and will hopefully improve his defensive game.
But he really needs a steady partner :(

It's verrrry hard for a defenseman to have a good defensive game when he can get tossed around like a bag in the wind by anyone 6'0 and 190 or larger

I guess I haven't thought the 2nd line has been atrocious today. Some decent looks and all, just not a game changing line
