College Football Offseason 2025: An-NIL-lation

I think he's causing some pain for Tennessee too

There will be a dozen+ P4 programs trying to get him out of the transfer portal if he does end up there, even if he has to take a year off

Oh no doubt. He’s burning bridges with teammates right now. Especially by skipping practice.

I didn’t realize Chiles was that high. That was a great get for Jonathan Smith when he was at Oregon State.

Bye bye Nico

Had to make this move if you’re Tennessee imo. He’s going to end up back in California at either USC or UCLA.

Nico had legit NFL aspirations. If you are doing well in a program, seems silly to leave over NIL money when you have a real shot at an NFL future. I get it for the UNLV QB since he doesn't have much of a future as a pro. So, for him, get your money and have that available to you when you start your non football career. I mean, if he had issues with the Vols coaching staff or something, he'd have left in Dec to get onto another program and be ready to compete for the QB1 spot in spring ball.

He had been in a car accident that killed the passenger of the other car and fled the scene, but turned himself in 2 days after an arrest warrant was issued like 3 weeks after the accident. So, you know what people are speculating.

I have the utmost sympathy for his family, friends, and teammates…but it’s hard to have sympathy for Lacy. He killed someone and injured others by driving incredibly recklessly, and he fled the scene instead of rendering aid, only turning himself in after he entered the draft and had the arrest warrant out for him. If it is suicide, you wish he would taken whatever punishment meted out to him and rehabilitate from there. Now his victim’s family has nothing, and his family loses someone.

His name is Ima-leave-ya, this shouldn't be surprising

the speculation that he "called his own number" seems to be verified

He had actually declared for the draft 2 days after the accident.

It's hard to imagine something like that weighing on one's mind, maybe it's just the ease of reporting and news traveling nowadays but it seems like there have been so many of these type of tragedies in recent years, it's becoming an epidemic between college FB and the NFL

Seems like he was a shitty person with some demons. Doesn't mean his death should be celebrated or that he deserved to die, still could have turned things around...but yeah people won't be rushing to mourn the individual either.
