Kinda gross, but I guess the tank lives on. Hopefully Laval gets a boost.

No idea why we did that.
Because they want Gignac back in the AHL to help Laval and we only have 3 other Cs on the NHL roster. Seems pretty straightforward.
Chris Tierney 2.0

A plug veteran to fill out the roster on the 4th line for the last 20 or so games, yet this thread will probably be 48 pages long asking why we claimed him.
We already got a post implying this means Jake Evans is being traded. That's my favourite HFHabs mannerism, any minor depth move is immediately spun into this grand machination that will create multiple trades.

The best one was when we signed Demchenko from the KHL a couple years ago and instantly people were coming up with Allen, Price, Primeau, Lindgren trades etc. as if you can't just sign a depth goalie to be a depth goalie without it being part of some huge scheme involving every other goalie in the system lmao

Makes sense. Gignac is not an nhl player. He has speed, and that's it. Doesn't really know what to do with the puck.

The habs need some bodies to finish out the year. Can't dump all the centre assignmnets on Nick and Evans

The only forum that doesn't want people to write in it. No matter how you see it....every news is a possible debate. Whether it's the player we acquire. Or the player we let go. Or the number of contracts we have or don't etc.

Sure is. We had limited goal scorers then, like we do now.

We already had Caufield, Slafkovsky, Anderson, Gallagher, Hoffman, Dadonov, Drouin, Armia and Monahan playing on the wing when Tolvanen was waived. If anyone is to blame for us not claiming Tolvanen it is Bergevin for having so many shitty wingers signed.
