Give the coach what? The benefit of the doubt? Fair enough. But coaches aren't infallible.

What exactly do you disagree with?

That Stanley has rarely gotten what he's earned? That he gets into the lineup rain or shine even though there are equivalent or better alternatives to him sitting in the pressbox?

That sheltering him from tough competition or making his partners play on their off side isn't putting the team at a disadvantage? Putting his development above the team?

And why are they doing this for a 15 minute 6/7 defenseman? Would they be doing it for a 15 minute 6/7 6'3" defenseman? I somehow doubt it.
So let's say that a coach isn't infallible. We can all agree to that, it's not an unreasonable statement

But I think that maybe you're insinuating that fans aren't infallible?

I think that there's a very small possibility that a fan ever knows better than a coach, simply because they aren't privy to the same information that the coach has when he makes decisions.

I very reasonable statement from a fan would be "based on the information I have, I disagree with the decision the coach has made to play Stanley"

I'm sure you defer to authority all the time in other areas of your life. You probably trust your MD, mechanic, electrician, etc over doing things yourself. Reading an article or two and watching YouTube videos probably won't adequately prepare you to remove an inflamed appendix

There may not be a formal education program for an NHL coach, but a guy like Arniel has been in and around the pro game as a player and coach for 40 years. That's one of the reasons I always ask people who are so sure that they're right over a coach what their hockey experience is. The amount of arrogance involved in just dismissing that experience because you follow some folks on Twitter (who also lack any relative experience) is astounding

Jets are hoping Stan can improve his game enough to feel comfortable dressing him down the stretch and in playoffs.
He makes his share of mistakes but for sure his size is an advantage as long his errors are minimal, certainly less than so far this season.
Being atop the standings, I'm guessing the Jets feel they can afford Stan's gafs while hopefully getting better each game.
Not sure which way they'll go come deadline. I could see them acquiring a veteran D they might feel more comfortable putting in the lineup come playoffs.

They were comfortable dressing him in the playoffs last year.

He's the only "it's a competition" dman to have never been healthy scratched.

He's going nowhere, veeeery slowly.

I see @MardyBum is back to his immature antics

As always, your reaction is proof that you have nothing to say. Intelligent people refute claims they disagree with. Generally, people mock ideas they don't understand. With your admitted limited experience in the sport, it doesn't surprise me

Seen Perfetti in Costco today. I think he was with his girlfriend. Very polite. I said good job and Sip says Hi. He smiled and said thank you.

Heck, I'd have demanded that he justify his selection over hometown hero Jarvis, and maybe explain his midseason slumps. And what did Ryan Ratman really say to him at that notorious faceoff?

You had him right there, @Finnflash! Get those long-awaited answers to HFBoards' most burning Perfetti questions!

I need to build a relationship in order for him to open up.
