Lol.
They scored 5 goals total.
They were a -12 collectively.
Ya, let's stick with them again.
Um, CSV scored 5 and gave up 3 when they were on the ice together at 5v5 (51:16 total icetime). No idea what you're talking about

ESV on the other hand scored zero and gave up 2 in 7:51 of 5v5 ice time

The reason they were "collectively -12" was because of the time they spent apart, not together lol

Really happy to see Perfetti get that game. He is a real likeable guy in his interviews. Hope this gets him rolling.

Exactly...who do people think he is? Logan Stanley? Come back when you're 6'7", Cole! :sarcasm:
What does this even mean? Stanley fights for the #6 spot not the top pair. Just more Stanley derangement syndrome.

What kind of promotion has Stanley had?

Glad to see Cole get rewarded tonight with a hatty.

I thought he’s been playing very sound hockey consistently over the last few weeks, even though he wasn’t scoring.

Hopefully this gives him some scoring confidence and he goes on a bit of a points run.
I dint think he was hurting is defensively but his offensive execution was definitely off.

After he scored he started looking very dangerous again. Confidence is a hell of a drug

Exactly. One of these things is not like the other.

I agree with you on the confidence being a hell of a drug. It can be really tough when you are fighting it. Not sure how this season will play out for Cole but last night was much needed in his journey.

Let's hope he goes on a heater!

Also, that line looked so much better and I think a lot of it was Namestnikov. He looked better last night than he has in weeks.

Agreed. This was much needed for his confidence but he's rounded out his game to the point he contributes when he isn't scoring. This allows you the ability to work through your funks.

Congrats on the first Hat trick.

Hey Cole , you have sucked the bag how about a promotion? LOL. This team doesn’t revolve around him. He gets what he earns.

I was responding to "This team doesn't revolve around him. He gets what he earns." part, not specifically the promotion part (although giving a struggling offensive player better opportunities isn't exactly unheard of).

Stanley has rarely gotten what he's earned. He gets into the lineup rain or shine even though there are equivalent or better alternatives to him sitting in the pressbox. When you're putting his partners on their off sides to accommodate Stanley and trying hard to shelter him from strong competition, then the team is kind of revolving around him...

Thought Stan played his offside last 2 games. Coaches obviously value Stan differently than you do.,

I think a better comparison to Stanley staying in the lineup on the bottom pairing would be Barron staying in the line up on the 4th line

It's tough to compare a 6/7/8 dman to Cole who is a middle six/2nd line winger who gets PP them

Yep, I’m willing to give the coach who has the team in 2nd place over a fan sorry.
Give the coach what? The benefit of the doubt? Fair enough. But coaches aren't infallible.

What exactly do you disagree with?

That Stanley has rarely gotten what he's earned? That he gets into the lineup rain or shine even though there are equivalent or better alternatives to him sitting in the pressbox?

That sheltering him from tough competition or making his partners play on their off side isn't putting the team at a disadvantage? Putting his development above the team?

And why are they doing this for a 15 minute 6/7 defenseman? Would they be doing it for a 15 minute 6/7 6'3" defenseman? I somehow doubt it.

Unfortunately it's pretty common in the league for there to be guys in that 5-15th pick in the draft range that struggle to meet expectations and produce in top six roles in their early 20's.

I'm thinking of guys like Dylan Strome, Sam Reinhart. Takes some guys until their mid to late 20's to finally turn that corner as top six guys. Usually once their original team has moved on from them... it feels more and more like this is the way it is headed.

Hoping for the best but I'm worried too. He is fine as a 4th liner with his defensive impact. But we all know how coaches view 4th liners that don't PK or punish defensemen. Press box duty.

He is basically a 3rd line scoring impact, behind Appleton, while playing with Ehlers. So basically a 4th line/press box calibre offense on a true contender.

His value is probably down in that late 1st/2nd rounder range as @Hank Chinaski mentioned.

Its not Chevy's MO to sell low on his prospects when they struggle as pros. But considering our need for persistent center and D it's pretty logical for him to be included in a deal for one of those needs.

Is giving up a 1st with Perfetti too much for Cozens? Not enough? I'm not sure.

You do realize that Cozens is scoring less than Perfetti, right? By a fair bit too and being paid 7.1 mil to do it.

Any 3rd pairing is sheltered. As are you taking away minutes from morrissey?
Samberg and Pionk?

But if only the coach would listen to Gmoney they’d realize Heinola and Miller are so much better. If they did that we’d be #1 in the league, oh why won’t they listen to a fan on a hockey board :(

They aren’t infallible, if only they only watched the game once instead of studying film all day. If only they spent more time around hockey. If only they knew how to look at a graph.
