Player Discussion Cole Koepke

replace the Geek with the Koepke and see what happens. The kid has some skill and speed to burn. Heck he’s still one of the top goal scorers on the team. Yet he stays on the 4th line.

Yeah I hope hes alright. This team is dropping like flies.

head exposed and Radysh took it, such a tough play, part of me says the Radysh hit a defenseless player, part of me says Cole was reaching, didn`t protect himself.

He was reaching a bit. Not all that much imo.

Adding in that it was one thousand percent a blind side hit takes away the benefit of doubt for me. It’s a hit to the head

I know you can play the "butterfly effect" to silly extremes, but I'm still blaming this on that inept/crooked linesman. That was either an amateurish call or a corrupt call. No room for inbetween - it was that ridiculous.

Without that, no icing faceoff, no concussion.

I do hope officials are required to report to head of officials what they were thinking in such instances.

One of the other three officials on ice should have overuled call and had faceoff at center ice.

I'm with you. I thought it was borderline. If it was a Bs player with the opportunity to make that hit, I'd expect them to do that exact same thing, and would be a little upset if they didn't. Shitty outcome, though.

And YES, that icing should have definitely been waived off.

Congratulation to Cole Koepke!

Played 73 games of this miserable season and ended with a +1.

Could have been the only forward with a plus rating, but Geekie finished +3 with his late season charge playing with Pasta. Pasta himself finished at even for the season.

Zadorov ran away with the best plus/minus at +25. Jokiharju finish 2nd with a +7, playing mostly with Zadorov in his 18 games with the Bruins.

And at the other end of the spectrum, Lohrei was also a runaway winner (or loser) with a -43. Kudos also to Middlestadt for turning in a -17 in only 18 games.

Amazingly, Zadorov and Lohrei both had 104 giveaways, 2nd only to Pasta's 118. Guess not all giveaways are equal.

I wouldn't be upset if they moved on from him. I thought he did well for himself but struggled at times as the season went on. Usually the prevailing thought is to never fall in love with a 4th liner since they're the most highly replaceable parts to a team.

I do wonder if the Bruins will be hesitant to let him go just to see him have a Jesper Boqvist bump with another team while the replacements have Beecher-like struggles and the team as a whole needs more speed, not less.

Him and Beecher can go as far as I'm concerned. Beecher only real asset is face offs and Keopkes only asset in PK, so both could be replaced by Providence or half the leagues waivers.
