it'd be insane to sit Caufield. And even if KK sucks now, the team has no chance in the playoffs if KK doesn't find his mojo back.
KK hasn’t played well with consistency all year. Last time he did was in the bubble a year ago. He’s not just going to magically find himself.

And it has nothing to do with Staal. Staal was brought it as security for Evans. It just so happens Evans played himself into the lineup and KK played himself out. These are facts.

Cole is a different story. At this point he’s like a specialist, but that special is goals. He’s still very raw in basically every other area and I just don’t know where you play him.

Pretty sure Staal grew up a leafs fan and all his friends and family for most part are too I bet. Doubt you’ll see much effort from him, he’s gone in the summer and won’t want to be the one that stops them

You can just tell that Suzuki wants to play with this kid and has LOTS of respect for his talent. Do not mess this up Habs, please just keep them together and you will have a dynamic duo for years to come.

Agree. But I think we under-estimated his vision and his playmaking sense. He made a really nice pass to suzuki yesterday. Many player would just shot to the net instead of pass to suzuki

If he sits, it's plain dumb. And as Bobby Knight likes to say: "Dumb always loses." And God knows, this team has had its fill of dumbness for the past 3 decades,

Ducharme coaches not to lose, instead of to win.

So I think we all know what the Game 1 lineup will look like.

Really impressed with the kid’s ability to read the play. He and Suzuki were able to apply a lot of pressure by getting to the right place on time.

Armia’s a good complement. If the kids don’t see a play, they get it to a soft spot along the boards because they know Armia can win that battle.

I don't expect him to start game 1, but I'll be shocked if he never plays at all. There will be games where we struggle hard to score and hopefully that encourages Ducharme to play Caufield.

He has 1 fewer goal than Danault, Kotkaniemi, and Byron, and more goals than Evans and Staal, all in a lot fewer games.

I know most of those guys are centres, but you should still make room for a guy like Caufield.

I'd sit Stall and Byron before the two young guys. Byron was waived, what, 3 times this season? We going to ruin our young C even more to make room for a PK guy? F this team if that happens.

...

I know it's going to happen.

Would be nice if a Suzuki - Caufield duo becomes a longterm thing this organization builds around. Wishful thinking but the flashes from yesterday brought little hope.

Caufield has the potential to become a star. Alot of teams will regret passing on him.

Every time he smiles with a big shit eating grin after a goal, the swagger comes through my tv.

He really knows he can put it in, it's a matter of time before he and Suzuki become fire on ice.
