See, this would have been a perfect thing to post in this completely unused thread:

Instead you’re going to have everyone shitting on it for not quite being GOTY material.

Great goal but a bit much on the title lol. Also to everyone minimizing it because it was around Celebrini - hasn't it been his case for the Calder that he's got an excellent all-around game? I think he does, so I don't know why that would need to be a stipulation here lmao

I too prefer empty netters against New Jersey.

I was there live, what a beauty.
Rasmussen taunting Hughes after scoring the EN will be GOTY :biglaugh:

This is not a top 10 goal because I have watched every goal this season and I have been keeping a live ranking on a daily basis.

And how dare you didn't mention that he danced around a rookie forward. That's definitely deserves points to be taken off this play.

If you have anything else fun to talk about, please report it immediately.

We see these goals a couple times every year.

Amazing goal, not GOTY imo.

Usually GOTY candidates involve dekeing around multiple people like McDavid or Tarasenko against the rangers, or unique ones you don't see that often like Zegras behind the net flip pass or Byfields goal last year..

I have no idea what makes one goal the absolute best, nor do I give a shit. All I know is this goal was amazing.

I did find it funny that in every other thread, Celebrini is acclaimed as a budding superstar and amazing two-way player, but when he gets beat by Caufield he's just a random rookie forward.

3 on 3 on a forward. Not even the play the week. Draisaitl just powered his way in last night and went bar down as well. But it was 5 on 5 against a top tier defenseman. Found that much more impressive.
