The Leafs are really unlucky about how Barrie turned out. That was unexpected. However trading arguably their best value contract on the team was always an awful idea. Especially when he’s the only player on their roster who plays the game of hockey like he wants to win.From Toronto's board

I hope Barrie does for Toronto like he was for us last playoff. He was playing light out. I'll never get over the Matt Cooke kneecap changing the 2014 playoff series, Minnesota had no other answer for what Tyson was bringing into the O zone.

I sarcastically said things because as a Star I thought he sucked. I thought he was a lazy, offense minded winger who never even figured out how to deliver that offense. After a few pre-season games I fell in love with his big strong body constantly driving the net. I thought it was him just trying harder than ever to make the team. After that play continues into the first few weeks of the season I actually fell in love and started meaning a lot of things I said.
My constant “NUKE IS ELITE” posts are hyperbole but I truly do love him.
