Pouring a shot for Sharks fans after witnessing a patented 4giev performance.
We can toast after. No sharks fan should be binge drinking from that game as they are rebuilding and everyone knows the future is Askarov. They're just hoping 4giev can build any value by the deadline with new coaching. Sharks are happy with a 2nd and Kovalenko in the deal but if 4giev can turn it around and land even a late rd pick that would just be gravy.

Blackwood will give you a good run of three or four games, lay an egg, then get back to form. Rinse and repeat. The difference is that the Avs have the capability of winning games when Blackwood is laying that egg.
If he plays good every 3/4 then they need to re-sign immediately. Goalies are a fickle breed and that kind of consistency cannot be understated. I hope that this assertion is correct lol.

Good for 3 or 4 games then laying an egg pretty much describes most if not all the good goalies in the NHL

I sure as hell can't tell anyone how long that sort of thing will last with him but that's about where he's at right now.

I don't expect Blackwood to consistently play like this, because if he does he'd be a top 5 goalie.

But for now i'm enjoying the show.
Why not? He’s been playing like that for the better part of a season and a quarter. It’s like people have firm opinions about his ability without having actually watched him play.

This is way better than what we heard from NY Rangers fans about Georgiev. They literally were telling us he was there most hated player and his egocentric mindset was fatal. CMAC said "I can change him".

Nope.

The problem with Georgiev wasn't his attitude, it's that he couldn't stop pucks.

Frankly speaking, MacKinnon is basically the same as Georgiev. The difference is, MacKinnon is the second best player in the league. He backs it up every night. If he snaps on teammates, it's seen as good competitive spirit.

Georgiev can stop pucks when his head is on straight.

Even MacKinnon has learned to keep his head on straight and to control his thought process night in and night out. I doubt Georgiev ever develops past his current mindset.
