Not true at all. 6'2, quite literally the fasted recorded skater in the league who will torpedo anyone forechecking. Every non playoff team would take that in their bottom 6. The insane soooo super duper high and unfittable on any team $2.5M cap hit is the problem.

Go look at the bottom wingers for Sharks, Hawks, and Sabres.

Wood is better than all them and rebuilding teams would take a free pick to ice him or buy him out.

And thats ignoring the fact the Avs could easily keep him and play him when the inevitable njury comes.

Any AHLer or prospect can and will fill the role cheaper and more reliably than a broken down Wood

The Avs are a soft team. If Wood was as valued as you say, why would a soft team trade him??

Answer, he is useless and on a bad contract for an AHl quality oft injured broken winger…

Wood has a terrible contract. His value is likely more negative than people here thinks. I doubt anyone takes him unless the Avs really add an enticing sweetener. No one has a need for an oft injured completely regressed and broken 4th liner / AHLer.

If he didn't take so many stupid penalties, I'd be completely fine with him on the 4th line.
