This is the exact guy I wanted CMac to target.

I'll be surprised if he isn't our #3C and has enough offense to look acceptable in the top 6 in a pinch.
Backup plan for when we trade Colton next summer, perhaps.

Missing a 3LD now.
Dumoulin, Lindgren, Vaakanainen, Pettersson, Martinez, Määttä, Provorov are UFA's of varying quality (I'll just go ahead and ignore old friend Ian Cole here:laugh:) Or maybe go back to San Jose to get Rutta (righty who plays both sides).

A point almost every second game at NHL level, young, big - I love it..imagine full strength:

Drouin - Mack - Rants
Lehks - Middst - Nuke
Landy - Colton - LOC
Wood - Parssinen - Kivi

Toews - Makar
Girard - Manson
CDH - Kylington

Blackwood
Wedgewood

Then imagine our depth after this. Ooof. Smacks of a Stanley Cup guys.

I saw this on Instagram and I couldn't believe it

Parssinen is a typical Bednar player. He skates, he's responsible in the D zone and he has some skill. He's a little soft, but that's exactly how Bedsy likes 'em; big and soft

Nashville is absolutely purging the shit out of their once promising stable of young players, and I'm just glad we got to take advantage of that for once

How good is he defensively? I’d really love a shutdown guy. Kinda hope that they still make a move for a guy like Evans

From what I saw on the Preds board he’s decent offensively and real solid defensively. If this guy can be a better 3C than Parker Kelly (who has been fine) we’re in good shape up front.

Lehk - Mack - Nuke
Drou - Mitts - Mikko
Colton - Parsnip - LOC
Wood - Kelly - Kivi

Just need a 6 LD

Does this mean anything on drouin or wood I wonder? I mean I'm on board.. Big young center with 100+ nhl games.... I'll take it

My guess is this shores up the bottom 6 C depth and keeps Colton on the wing where he’s been best.

Then if Lando does come back and can play well, it’s gonna be a good problem to have

That sounds good, from what I’ve read it sounds like the Preds have hammered away at this guys confidence, so hopefully Bednar gives the guy a bit of rope to get himself going. Can we get a shutdown Finnish dman now? Just complete the set

From what I've seen, he's a big body who always goes to the net. Has some offensive talent to his name and has a sneaky good shot. Preds fans say he's great two-way, but I see him more offensive than defensive from what I remember watching.

As long as he doesn’t rely on being a physical menace he’s got a good shot at keeping with the Avs. Like that he goes to the net, the Avs only have a handful of guys that regularly do that

You would think so, but after a few games I was beginning to wonder. I think Ivan might get sent down first because he would actually benefit from the increased minutes. He's pretty invisible out there in his measly minutes.
He's had the lowest TOI in every single game he's played, routinely behind his own linemates by 1-3 minutes while having taken 4 minor penalties already.

Bednar would punt him to the moon if he could, and this likely allows him to.

He's got a high ceiling imo. I haven't seen his skating at the NHL level, but apart from that I think he's got all the tools to be a possibility for 2C in the long term. He had a breakout season right after the draft. I was hoping we'd take him with that 7th rounder back at the draft, cool to see that wish come true indirectly. (We took Trent Miner instead)
