I liked him when he was on Pittsburgh. He was the only guy who was willing and able to fight on the roster. His poor preseason led him to getting waived.

Having Ludwig not have a permanent roster spot is a waste as is having CDH in one.

Is that accurate? Are there not stipulations based on games played / time on nhl roster that dictate whether the Pens can assign him straight to the ahl? I think 10 games or 30 cumulative days.

I did not go through the CBA, but the only instance I could find where that "10 games/30 days" situation applies is when is when a player is sent down to the minors after clearing waivers, is recalled and the team wants to send him back down once again.

Feel free to show me otherwise, as I'm not omniscient...

He’s probably an upgrade on Cholowski and NYI can send George back to the minors.

Also he will punch faces once Martin is benched after reaching 1K games.
