Don't take so many penalties if you can't kill them off. Lotta meh all around tonight, glad Quick got a rest.

On to the next one.

Which poster was it that said Muzzin is no longer "Muffin?" I blame that poster for tonight's loss lol.

:laugh:I missed that. I may have called him the bakery moniker in the GDT, but to be fair I haven't for ages. It's less tempting to call him that when he's been a Corsi beast for the last what, three seasons?

Not going to dwell on this one for long. The 1976 Habs lost to the Kansas City Scouts that year...

“@lakingsinsider: Sutter: â€We had some guys with that ‘Slow Moving’ sign on.“â€

!!!!!!!!

Kings are 25-12-2. Guess I can't complain, but when this team loses they lose big.

Last 3:

Avs 1-4
Sharks 3-5 after leading 3-1
Leafs 0-5

If Iggy wasn't signed into next year I'd hope LA would be after him for an add heading into the playoffs.

He's the same guy who passed over the Kings to sign for the money in Denver. His desire for a Cup is questionable. I want players on this team whose primary goal is the Cup, nothing else.

Like Penner?

Whether Iggy's priority list is money first and a cup second or vice versa, there's no doubt the guy brings it every night. Those are the guys that you win cups with. If we can win with Pancakes we can win with Iggy Pop.

Our roster wouldn't be able to contend for a Cup then. Would be a bunch of Ehrhoffs.

I'd say his desire left during his eastern conference tour with the Pens and Bruins.

one poor game so I am going to try and not fly off the deep end demanding trades and upgrades to the PK (3 GA on the PK ouch)
Last few games LA has been outshot, which is odd for this group.
Congrats to Iggy..saw him burn LA alot here in Calgary. A remember one game he got a hat trick against LA (I think Checkmanek was in net) and a lady beside me tried to take my Kings hat and toss it on the ice. What a *****.

Surprised iggy's 600th wasn't an empty netter

Surprised iggy's 600th wasn't an empty netter

It basically was.

Two subpar efforts in a row. They weren't particularly good in the Philly game either.

Thursday sets up nicely for them, they need a rest/maintenance day and then get back to clean breakouts and zone entries against TOR. #sticktostickpasses

Why does any player swing his stick at the puck over his head in the defensive zone?

What are you trying to accomplish other than getting a DOG penalty?

Instinct. It's why guys still take hooking penalties when they barely put the stick too high. The game is too fast for thinking sometimes, and it's always easier to try and hook a guy than it is to keep moving your feet. They're human beings, and the puck, stick, and skates make the situation that much more complex. The puck is in the air, and you want to get it before the other team. You're focused on the puck, not your immediate surroundings. If it's too high, you have the stick. Not trying to bat it out of play, but pucks do weird things.

I've heard some posters be critical that there are more posts in the gameday and post game threads when the Kings lose, but that clearly is not the case here.

Last night's game was an example of being indifferent about a ****** team effort.

More interested in seeing how they respond against Toronto on Thursday.

Can see why we need defensive help more than a #3 Center tonight. Look how bad our D looks when Muzzin has an off night. Now imagine if one of them were injured...

Need to hit reset after tonight though. If they look like garbage against Toronto again I'm gonna be a bit worried as even Sutter has pointed out they haven't been as sharp as they could be lately (and that showed up bigtime tonight)

Don't worry, there's plenty of cap space to add both. :) It's the most cap space Lombardi's had in quite some time. Maybe he gets carried away like a kid in a candy store!!!

What will the prospect pool look like after the deadline is the only question.

Muffin with the trifecta
-Goal while in the box
-Goal off a "drop pass" for a 3-4 on one
-Milestone own goal for good measure

I love Muzzin.... everyone thinks they're safe and happy with how he's playing, then the inner Muffin gets out!

Regular season doesn't matter, Pacific is garbage, everyone has a bad night from time to time.

exactly...if they string together **** games then I will worry

Colorado targeted Jake Muzzin this game, they took some pretty good runs at him last night. I don't care how many points the Kings have, i hope Sutter jumps on the team because they didn't show up to play. Colorado out hit them, and worked harder.
