I swear the : smiley was made for this. Who ****ing cares at this point about Cody Hodgson?
But he's so handsome. Admit it, that's why you Canuck fans loved him.

Hodgson has offensive talent but he's too slow, loses every battle for the puck and has no defensive awareness. If he get faster, ups his compete level and gets better in the defensive zone he can be a good top 6 NHL player. What are the odds of this... < 5% IMO.
Canucks fans were insufferable after he scored this goal against Boston
What happened to this guy?
I remember that. Good times. Too bad all our gloating had to end so fast.
But seriously, I could have expected Kassian hitting the low he has, what's up with Hodgson? The guy has elite level hands and a pretty good mind for hockey. Albeit, he's not great defensively, but he's a star at the other two parts of the rink. I thought he'd make a pretty good prototypical #2 centre who could put up 50-70 points a year and make in impact.
So we all thought...
I would love for this to happen. Nolan has been holding in his rage all season.I hope Nolan is ready to receive a call from Cody Hodgson's dad. I heard he's pissed
His defensive awareness isn't why he sucks defensively. It's because his first step is so awful that he's always behind one second on every play. He wasn't completely useless as a player when he could keep up offensively but now he's one second behind at that too. His overall skating outside of his first step is actually fine, his speed is enough for the NHL and his stride is cleaned up. That first step just does him in and until it gets fixed if it ever does he is going to struggle without a great center to carry him. If Buffalo pairs him with a world class center he could be a 30 goal scorer as early as next year. He's a passenger player right now.Hodgson has offensive talent but he's too slow, loses every battle for the puck and has no defensive awareness.
