Anyone who was posting in 2009 will remember how annoying our fan base was about this guy.

And at the time it was warranted. He was absolutely incredible in his post-draft season. Then the back injury happened.

Shall we discuss Kassian and his healthy scratches also?

He was never that great.

Alain Vigneault is VERY savvy when it comes to zone deployment, and Hodgson saw incredibly sheltered minutes.

Then they traded him when his value was still fairly high.

They got back a dud, but I think that had to do with the fact that Vancouver was obsessed with getting bigger at that point.

This trade is hilarious in hindsight.

Both were hyped up prospects that never lived up to their potential.

I don't really get scratching him against his former team, if you are looking for any night he MIGHT wake up and try then it would be against the Canucks which would possible (unlikely) lead to a spark in his season. Either way it doesn't really matter at this point

When the Flyers scratched Vinny he didn't come back until a game or two after they played the Lightning. Seeing your new team play your old team may have sparked him a little bit. Not that he's anything like his older (younger) self.

It went from boasting about the guy on your team, to seeing who's less awful as the victor of the trade.

I dare say Kassian and Vancouver won.

Only reason is because they're paying him much less.
