Would have been a crazy story if he somehow had played in the ongoing 1st round series against Vancouver and scored a series clinching OT GWG.

Came back played hard. Condition came back. He tried. He has 15 million in earnings so can live a good life. Maybe he will become a coach or something if he can do that.

He clearly loves the game

He actually had 6 goals - he played 13 games (and also got 2 assists). Seems like if his condition hadn't come back, he could have done it.

Ya, I think people are missing this- if you start the AHL almost .5/ppg you’re gonna see the show at some point. Pretty sure he started out at a better pace and then possible slowed due to the condition as well.

Shame, but infinite respect to him. One of my new favorite NHLers of all-time.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for him taking another shot at it, and succeeding, after such a lengthy time. It’s too bad it flared back up. Hopefully he got enough closure out of it

That kind of production even in the AHL is very impressive at age 34 after an 8 year layoff. Wild stuff

Glad he seemingly found the bookend to his career he was looking for. Much happier ending than the previous, that's for sure. That kind of production in the AHL, factoring his age and 8 year gap, is actually pretty insane as the previous poster had said. I had assumed he'd get like 2 points.

After an 8 year layoff getting on the ice at a pro level is ridiculous
