Because they have pro scouts. They write home and say "this guy is better than Prout".

I think he would have been claimed had he not been injured so frequently lately. There are some clubs in a desperate situation on D (more desperate than us).

Me too, but a prior poster may have hit on something - expose him to waivers now before the injury list gets too long. No one is ready to give up on their own 5/6/7 dman after only 3-4-5 games. Whether FO was smart or it just worked that way... either way, I like Golo, glad he is still in the fold. BTW, we are the only NHL team to have only played 2 games thus far.
