Yeah will not playing this spring. Clendenning or just about anyone should play above him is clear cut. Gorton have made a fantastic rebound for this team but this is a weird choise.

honestly i hope your right but for some reason holden is loved by coaches. i assume he works very hard off the ice and is a team guy, but it doesn't translate. he would be a good 6D but anything more and he is a liability

Got a likewise theory about him. Apparently he got abilities that coaches wants him around but he's limited to that third ld guy and about nothing more. I think Gorton thought the had a deal for Staal but fell through. Skeji is the perfect fit to take over and would be amazing for Rangers cap who needs the shred salaries on defense.

Klein is better defensively and I don't think the upgrade in offense is enough to justify moving Klein for.

If they needed a power play triggerman, then I would be more for this, but the first unit has Pirri and Zibby firing from both sides. Once Zibby starts hitting the net more, the numbers will get better.

Klein isn't better defensively imo.

And even if he was he's having a poor year so far and is on the wrong side of 30.

Wouldn't be in NYR top 4 though. Franson is a good bottom pairing guy who can move up in a pinch.

Wouldn't be in Buffalo's either if half of our actual top 4 defensemen weren't injured right now. (Along with our best 2 centers. We're off to a great start here.)
