Coaching IS a serious problem

When your first overall pick isnt progressing under the supposed development coach, thats a huge red flag smashing us over the head. This was a must hit with pick and right now we are praying Slaf rights himself

Barron regressed, Struble has regressed, Jackeye has somewhat stabilized but is what he is a 5-6 defenseman

Add in no defensive structure, no sustained offence ( cant get past 30 shots lmao, not once) players quitting mid game

This yr has been a colossal clusterfawk

I am not sure if Struble regressed - he hasnt even played 100 games yet. He's a d-man, they take long to develop.

Barron just stagnated and plateaued.

Barron has talent but hasn’t put it together. I can see him being dealt. And he’s one of those guys who could fade quietly away or giving him away could bite us in the ass.

We should be playing him or moving him. I’m not thrilled about him being frequently benched.

I’m fine with Struble. Like him a lot. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a spot for him here as X will be our 3rd line LD.

Strubs is up and down. He is barely an NHLer but when he has a good game he has a good game. To me, he needs to play more physical game, which when he does he is pretty affective.

Barron I would take a chance on trading for someone who knows how to play in the NHL and worry about how it may come bite us in the ass later.

Struble has his ups and downs because he's a 23 year old d-man who has played 78 nhl games.

You are all so incredibly impatient. Other than the top D, it takes most defensemen a number of years to develop.

You don't like Slaf/Suzuki/CC?
I don't know what to like anymore. I don't think there is one line anymore that is truly working. There are individual players that do better, but as a collective... I just think think whatever MSL's vision is, it will not result in a team that can play structured disciplined hockey. To pre-empt some here... NOT saying they can be winning much, but to show more than absolutely chaotic play in their own end and very rare glimpse of offensive flair.

The coaching staff needs a 1970-1980s style soviet assistant to be the yang to St. Louis' ying. Some players perform better when you massage their neck, whisper encouraging words in their ear or text them quotes about success with heart emojis.

But what about the others, who respond to being flailed over molten lava, smacked across the back with a rubber hose, or being screamed at until their eardrum is about to burst? There's always a mix of characters on a team. Do we have an assistant that can instill fear in the minds of some, who are fueled by this method? I'm not joking here.

The coaching staff looks Ultra-Charmin soft to my eyes, and it shouldn't be this way. Respect and a form of fear go hand in hand.

I personaly would prefer to see the pieces we presently have with the big club developping properly than waiting for a coach to developp
Don’t get the idea of a young team while a newb coach learns on the job. So strange.
