The problem that keeps cropping up is Marty's real time game management sucks.
There are no two ways to look at this.

I'd like to know in how many post game interviews has Marty said "I have to look at the video"
What exactly are you looking at during the game?

Regardless of the fact that we are rebuilding I haven't seen our fan base this irate about bench management in a long long time.

Or …. Why does a coach have to tell anyone anything? No one’s fu*kin business except the org

Too many people giving him "advices" and Slaf can't focus on what MSL is telling him. He plays well when he focus on "Marty's voice", it just getting drowned way too much. Slaf has been clear about that the last few weeks.

I remember last year, it was mentioned early in the season that Marty was the only person who could talk to Slaf. It looks like they might need to go back to that. Or Slaf needs to learn to focus on only certain "voices" and ignore the rest.

But there is clearly a factor that is perturbing is concentration and then self-confidence.
If that was true, I see this as a terrible 1st ov pick.

I don’t find this true

I agree that Marty for whatever reason has a hard time with timeouts, not sure what his aversion is to them, but I also don't think a timeout is the magic elixir that you all think it is. It's not going to magically age this roster into a more mature developed unit, I understand it helps in hopes to get a reset, but ultimately I don't think it makes all that much of a difference to our overall situation.

It certainly is something that Marty need to gets a better grasp of though. It can help with the settling of the players in any given moment and be a bit of a kick in the ass. It's a valid gripe against him, just not the fireable offense it's made out to be.

Geez, I sure hope no one wants him fired over this issue, but it's a gripe that is bang on, wherby a coach can change the moementum with a time out, or a goalie change, and read the boys a riot act, when the game is 0-2 and only 4 minutes old, and the other team has scored 2 on 3 shots..............

Any of us who watch enough know that a timeout can very well help slow down, or even stop the bleeding..............but all to often instead of a timeout we get another goal or two against in minutes and we are down 4 or 5 goals and the game then, is obviously over.

It's a young inexperienced team, with an inexperienced coach............what could go wrong eh....

Yes there are definitely times when Marty could use a tough love approach, something he's not seemingly wanting to do. I wonder if he feels that when he finally blows up it will have more impact, because of the contrast of his good cop approach. Opposed to being a hard ass all the time where the players would eventually tune him out.

He's also still very much in a developmental mindset where being all anal about mistakes and punishment can prove ultimately detrimental to younger players, he's still trying to give them room to grow, while desiring some accountability, it's a tough line to walk in our current state imo.

Michkov got healthy scratched for a game and he seems to be doing fine, and he has the worst attitude of all time according to posters here
If you’ve watched any of Michkovs game it hasn’t changed, even after being sat out, he’s got zero concept of non cherry picking hockey - but he’s very dangerous on the PP and OT which is where 95% of his pts are from

Actually everyone paying to watch this team is a stakeholder in this org.
Not really - the infinitely small minority that makeup the hardcore fans like to tell themselves that because it makes them feel important…. but we matter the least. Only corporate customers matter
