Driedger left at the first intermission of last night's win - I can't find any details (yet).

I hadn't looked in a while but that's great to see CV leading their division currently. Looks like Hershey will be in position to go deep once again as well.

Can anyone tell me if Wright is being used as a center or on the wing this year?

Cam Hughes tabbed as the team’s nomination to be considered for the AHL’s Man of the Year award (outstanding contributions to the local community and charitable organizations during the 2023-24 season).

Kudos to him for a great season both on and off the ice.

CV lost 3 to 2 to Tucson Wednesday night

Nyman led the team in shots with 6, but didnt make the scoresheet. Wright had an assist.

Season wraps this weekend with a back to back against the San Diego Gulls on Saturday and Sunday

4-1 loss but two empty-netters so not as bad as it looked to me last night just scanning boxes.

Wolf still scares me.

CV win game 2 with a 4-3 OT win. Just looking at the boxscore, looks like the vets (McCormick, Poturalski, Lind) did all the heavy lifting in this one with Shore potting the OT winner.

Series is 1-1, game #3 on Wednesday.

It is a little surprising (and disappointing) to see none of Winterton, Morrisson, Wright, Nyman with any points so far. Our only prospect with points is Melanson (1A).

Ryker has 1G 1A in 2 games, so atleast that is something.

CV win game 3, 7-5. Again it’s vets McCormick, Studenic and Shore carrying the load. Wright with a single assist, Nyman didn’t play.

The AHL playoffs are a good reminder that our prospects, no matter how highly we think of them, are just kids and likely to need more development time.

Evans is definitely NHL-ready, but outside of them, they have largely struggled. I am not as surprised about Melanson's 2 points. He has a playoff-type hard-nosed style that looks like it's working.

Evans - 1G 2A 3P
Melanson - 1G 1A 2P
Wright - 0G 1A 1P
Morrisson - 0G 1A 1P
Winterton - 0G 0A 0P
Nyman - 0G 0A 0P (2 games)

Just putting this in perspective, we have Wright already penciled in as our 2C for next season.
