if the league really cared about TV ratings and all of that noise they would have given 97 and myers 1 game and hyped the shit out of the thursday rematch.

They can't even portray Connor McDavid as the defacto face of the league properly where his name alone would be well known in the states compared to the likes of Lebron, Mahomes, etc.

NHL logic:
Hmm... two rival Canadian teams with fanbases that absolutely hate each other got into a big scrum the other night are already playing again days after. Hmm.. yeah well, suspend both players. Especially the best player in the world that fans pay or take time to watch live or at home whether they're a fan of the teams or not. Put back Wes McCauley and Chris Lee into the next game though. Fans are there to watch McCauley attempt to get in the spotlight by yelling on the mic again.
