That game was f***ing brutal to watch and honestly kinda depressing. 3 game skid where we've looked like absolute dog shit at best, and against bad teams we SHOULD be absolutely dominating. Let's be honest, probably half our wins this year have been OT/SO or "take it, run, and move on.". We've been on the lucky end many times this year and it looks like it may have finally run out. Yea losing TT & Tro hurts, but it shouldn't be a dagger...time to nut up or shut up.

I blame Dougie and Reimer equally for the loss, and the solution is obvious.

uhm...clear the puck, the shot never happens

It's still his job as a goaltender to prevent pucks from entering the net, even if his defense let's him down. Is it not?

It's not like the breakdown led to a high danger scoring chance on the goal. It should have been stopped.

The worst part is that Florida suddenly became a top team this season and shows no signs of slowing down. Tampa has been a juggernaut for awhile. Chicago will go as far Kane takes them which admittedly can be quite far. And then next season we go back to the Metro with tons of teams with great young talent as well. There is no break for this team.

He stopped 93.5% of the pucks that came at him tonight. He’s not a #1 goalie, I’m certainly not arguing that, but he did his job tonight.

They need to play tighter D in front of him to make up for his faults, they need to clear pucks when given the chance. They didn’t do that tonight. Oh well.

Scott Darling had a shutout in his career. Doesn't make him a good NHL goalie

Question: When the Canes scores in overtime I cashed a bet on Bet365. Money in my account and I then withdrew to my personal bank account. Is anyone else in the same boat with bets that were processed as a win?

I agree and at least we still managed to get 2 points out of 6 in our current 3 game losing streak. But we can still talk about weak links and what we should do to replace them. Unless just being a top 5ish team in the regular season is our main aim this season.

Sure, but the past few pages read more like panicking than than what you describe.

What do you expect? They aren't gonna just get a free pass to the Stanley Cup.

I don't think it's panicking to say it would be nice to have a goalie who is even remotely capable of stealing a game. None of Reimer, Ned, or even Mrazek is that kind of guy.

And it's not like this is a new development this year. Goalie has been our biggest area of weakness since Waddell took over. We are a contending team with the goalie duo you'd expect from a lottery team.

I don't think goaltending has really let us down at all this year.

Reimer has been kinda stinky, but for the most part he is keeping us in games.

I usually check out other teams boards after a game, and there have been more than a few times where they have pointed to losing due to our goaltending being better than theirs
