I agree even watching him this year, dudes still really, really good. Definitely the type of piece that can push a contender over the top. He's going to flourish when he plays with other high-end talent on some other team. The Flyers have been an absolute abomination this year, unbearable to even watch, Giroux is one of the few bright spots.

Been a fan of G for a long time. Would love him on the Flames. Impossible to do it without sending Monahan back but I wouldn't have any problem putting a 1st and a A prospect on the table with that. Can he play RW? Know he has mostly played LW, C but seems intelligent enough to handle opposite wing duties well.

Yeah; the big thing for Calgary is having another centre.
Like, if he could play centre:
Mangiapane - Giroux - Coleman
would be one helluva second line.

He started in the NHL as a RW and played there a bit last year. I'm sure he'd be fine, just likely not as good as LW.

Well, he can do it if you need him to. Again, he's outstanding at faceoffs - he's 2nd in the NHL in FOW% behind Bergeron (min. 200 faceoffs attempted) and he's always been good defensively.
Again, he's a better winger, but he can play C well still.

I'd say he can't carry a line of scrubs as a C ( as he did early in his Flyers career), but if flanked with decent linenates, He'd be perfectly fine. Doesn't quite have the speed to go end to end any more, so likely best with a more responsible winger of some sort.

I see Fletch trading him and a 2nd for a guy born in Bloomington who roomed with Hayes in college and works at Walmart now.
Would look good on the second line in Boston with Hall. Don’t know what it would take though. Debrusk, 1st + ?. Don’t know what Philly biggest needs are

If he was still a centre. He's not. He's a left-winger. The Bruins have... hmm? I like Giroux and wish there was a fit - but Boston is one of the worst fits for him in the league. As it'd be a lot to trade for an upgrade at #3LW which he unfortunately would be. - through no fault of his own.
He's great at face-offs - but once again Boston has Bergeron who is the best at them.
