Classless Evander Kane

I dont like the guy as much as the next person, but he was kicked out of the game, do you want him to sit there in his full gear (or come out in his street clothes) to shake hands? Lets be real.

The funny thing is hes gonna screw the Oilers in this LTIR investigation.

He said to the media he was ready to play before the playoffs, now that they may cut or trade him he ain't gonna cover for them when the league questions him.

Who cares if he skipped the handshakes

He had one damn job in this series

To be a “rat”
All he did was take stupid penalties and baited consistently by Marchand Bennett and Tkachuk
What you are saying is that he couldn't act la a buffoon on the ice.... Which is bad for Kane, cause otherwise Florida would be trying to sign him....

He Got ejected from the game, e-jec-ted. Thought i'd slow it down for some of you.

look up the definition if you really need to.

Classless? Save it with the bullshit. I'm sure this isnt the first time a player of any "class" has done this and wont be the last.

Guy is a loser. Always had been. No one should be surprised. Bankrupt loser.

Yeah what a loser, a classless piece of shit. "Always has been"

never change HF. some Delusional fools on this site.

One good thing makes this fool a saint. Lolol
a guy cant change? Normally a guy like McDave or Draisaitl would have reached out to a kid who dealt with that. For Kane to do that after his previous history is pretty cool. I had my doubts on him and at one point thought he was a piece of shit too but people do change.

But hey i'll let you and the HF mob get back to shitting on him like whiners.

He was told by the officials to go to the locker room and not the penalty box. Even if he was given a ten minute misconduct, the referees ejected him from the game given the time remaining.

Going to the dressing room upon receiving a misconduct penalty is standard procedure if you're assessed one with under 10 minutes remaining in a period (same thing for getting a major penalty with under 5 minutes remaining in the period, or even a minor penalty that can't terminate with a goal being scored with under 2 minutes remaining in the period). You then come sit in the box to serve the remainder to start the next period, if there is one. In this case, there wasn't another period.

As far as I can tell, there isn't a rule that says a player can't come back out for the handshake line if he's in the dressing room for that reason at the end of the third period (with the game not going to overtime). After all, I read in another thread about Kane doing this that Claude Lemieux was once assessed a game misconduct in what ultimately proved to be a game that decided the series, but he still came back out for the handshake line. Also as far as I know, the NHL doesn't really have any rules about the handshake line at all; it's just an informal thing that the players choose to do out of tradition. Although on a randomly related note, the USA Hockey rulebook has a small section that says the officials can call off the usual post-game handshakes if they feel that it would cause trouble.

Therefore, whether or not Kane didn't come back out by his own choice or was told by someone to not come back out is just anyone's guess.

I won't judge Kane because I don't know him. I won't even judge his absence because I don't know the circumstances. It's possible he'd already taken off his uniform. Possible someone suggested he not return to the ice. There are always reasons to NOT do something that's uncomfortable, hard, or inconvenient.

However, we admire those people who rise above their own discomfort and do it anyways. I'm sure the handshake line feels like crap for the losing side. I admire the players who put aside their feelings and do it anyways.

Lol i bet if he came out to the ice all oiler bashers would be shitting on him anyway like "whats that piece of shit, doing back on the ice or any other choice of words. Followed by screams of bloody murder and "he should be fined. Save it with the bullshit
