That’s cool. I dont think I’ve seen that territory, so I’ll check it out tonight. Thanks.

Yeah probably other ways you can find it on youtube but just search "International Wrestling Montreal" and a bunch of stuff comes up. When they first starting airing shows in my city they had guys like Rick Martel, Dino Bravo and the Rogeaus along with other name talents like Abdullah the Butcher, Kamala, the Long Riders who seemed more to be the villain of the month. My suggestion probably is the Rogeaus vs the Garvin "Brothers" match which was on of the biggest feuds in the promotion at the time.

As I said though by time they came to my city most the big names left which is probably why they came to my city(since the rest of the territory was dying)

They missed the boat on Paul London, probably because he wasn’t tall enough. He would’ve been a lot bigger had he come around in 2025. I’m a fan of this London-Kidman feud I’m watching

WWE Vault put a full Georgia Championship Wrestling card online from the Omni in 1984

Included is a NWA tag title match between the Road Warriors vs Stan Hansen and King Kong Bundy with the LOD actually getting manhandled for a good portion

The WWe Vault channel on youtube has a lot of great stuff on it. Recently they posted a match that is near and dear to my heart

The Wrestlemania 2 Battle Royal

I got into the WWF late 85 and this was the first Battle Royal I ever saw. I had this match on VHS and must have watched it like 25 times and thought it was the greatest thing ever.

On a side note NFL player who participated in the Battle Royal Bill Fralic, should have been a professional wrestler. He had the look and mannerisms of a Pro Wrestler.

The rink was too small. And then came Andre the Giant...

Why isn't the Fake Sammy Hagar story not a staple of WWF lore? I never heard about this until this morning!

Queued up for context.

Sammy Hagar hits the ring.

That's wild. Never heard that one. I know Google wasn't around back then, but Van Halen was arguably the most known rock band at the time, taking arena rock to the next level. Surely someone within Vince's orbit would have called BS on that. Also, just to show his face at a WWF event of any sort would have come with a 7 figure price tag. Gotta love wrestling in the 80s!

As somebody who got into the WWF late 85 I always wondered how this guy was a thing. I remember seeing him on those WWF Coliseum videos a few times

All that being said I don't remember this although it happened in 1987 when i was really hardcore into wrestling. Funny as hell though, looks like they realized people didn't like him(I noticed watching many youtube vids from Philly or MSG(more so philly) that you would hear a few scattered boos.
