9 points in the last 8 games, with 4 of those being goals and not being a minus player for a single one of those games (+10 in those 8 games btw).

Why does everyone want him traded again?

He's a solid player when put with the right centre.

If he was still playing with Grabo, I think everyone would be calling for his head right now.

Pretty much the fact that we have Lupul, JVR, Frattin, Kessel, Kulemin, Komarov on the wings.

Not sure if he's a product of Kadri or not yet.

The one in philly was just a beautiful set up, any of JVR/Kessel/Kulie/Komarov etc could of buried it.

The one in Florida Kadri gave him an easy break away on a goalie not lined up well

Kadri here does all the work again

I haven't been able to think of or find a goalie where Kadri didn't do it all and MacA just reaped the benefits

Hopefully this will shut up some haters.

I don't know why he has to be moved:

Lupul/JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul/JVR-Grabo-Kulemin
MacArthur-Kadri-Frattin
Komarov-McClement-Orr
McClaren
Steckel

Phaneuf-Gunnar
Gardiner-Kostka
Fraser-Franson

Liles, Komi, Holzer

Trade Liles+Steckel for something. Komi gets bought out or miraculousy traded for a pick. Holzer #7.

The main reason would be because he's an UFA and before it looked like the Leafs had a shot at he playoffs it made sense to trade him for something rather than let him walk for nothing. Now he's meshing with Kadri and the Leafs have a shot at the playoffs it's going o be a bit harder of a decision for Nonis.

I still think Mac is a good player but he does have some trouble in the defensive zone. He turns over the puck too often and carelessly dumps it out sometimes.

However, if he can play with Kadri and Frattin, I think he can be a great player in the offensive zone. Please Randy, don't put Mac with Grabo :help:

Stirs the drink of the lines he is on. Grabo and Kulimin aren't the same without him.

I would argue that in this case it's Kadri who is creating an abundance of chances and MacA has just been able to finish.

Frattin - Kadri - MacA will be a solid line for us 25-22-27 so all of them are young enough to be here for awhile.

Put that along with Lupul - Bozak - Kessel when Lupul is back it gives us two very good scoring lines. 29-26-25, again all in their twenties.

Then you still have pieces with JVR, Grabovski, Kulie, Komarov, McClement to create two other lines.

He and Kadri have been a treat to watch together. Developing some serious chemistry.

Anywhere from a 45-60 point player. Would send him out for the right return, but actively calling for him to be traded is stupid. He's a perfectly useful 2nd line forward.

He was the play maker on that line. Now it's Grabovski going on pointless rushes by himself, Komarov and Kulemin have been reduced to dogs that go retrieving pucks for him.

But Kadri is the straw that stirs the drink on the team this year. MacArthur had a nice game tonight, a very nice goal, several nice passes to Kadri too. I think MacArthur-Kadri-Frattin will be nice to see Wednesday. I said nice a lot.

I think with the cap situation for next season MacArthur might be moved if he isn't willing to take a pay cut.

He's the definition of streaky. I like the guy personally more so than a player. That being said, I hope he continues this little run he's been on untill others can break out of their funk.

Clarke Macarthur is a skilled player, but was viewed (by fans) as the odd man out due to the uncertainty of where he fits in this line up.

He wasn`t a fit for the Kessel and Bozak line, and he seemingly was out of place for most of the season line with Kulemin and Grabovkski.

But these past few games that has seen him placed with Nazem has really generated a new found interest for him.

He`s feeding of of Nazem Kadri`s energy and creativity and the confidence and creativity now is clearly showing in his game as well. A clear indication of that was tonight where he made a nifty little pass in the neutral zone to Kadri, and his goal in tight. That was some fine stick handling by Clarke that is only possibly when your confidence is strong and your willingness to try something creative.

Clarke has always been a skilled player that likes making things happen, but often finds himself needing someone else to spark his interest in games.

Nazem has done that for him.

The question is, does JVR play with Kulemin and Grabovski when Lupul returns.

Macarthur - Kadri - Frattin seems like a line that can really generate some offence.

Lupul - Bozak - Kessel is a proven line that we all know is capable of putting up points.

Kulemin and Grabovski could use a shot in the arm, and JVR could very well be a nice compliment there.

Which leaves us with a McClement, Komorov, Orr/Mclaren fourth line which in itself could be difficult to play against.

I personally dont think roster moves have to be made up front.

We'll more than likely see them on the back end.

Hey Chuck, any word on what's happening with the D?

MacArthur - Kadri - Frattin is a perfect 2nd line for us.

Kadri- frattin have dangerous chemistry, kadri-macarthur are developing great chemistry. If mac and frattin can find some chemistry (not that its too necessary with kadri in between) that line would be a serious threat. And they're not soft either. Kadri and frattin can throw their weight around pretty well, all have speed and mac brings a good veteran presence not to mention he is defensively responsible. This line could replace what grabo's line was for us a couple of years ago.

I hope we see more rage mode moments from him :naughty:

I loved his spaz attacks on Spacek, LaRose, and Gonchar

MacArthur with a fire under his ass is amazing to watch.

I know the typical Leafs fan move is to say "trade him while he's hot", and I usually laugh at that suggestion, but for a pending UFA like MacArthur, there probably isn't a better time to trade him and get the highest return.

I, for one, would love to have Ryane Clowe on this squad. Perfect third liner power forward who can fill in admirably in the top-6 and stands up for his teammates. I know his production is not good this season, but I would pounce now. Would love to see him in front of the net on the PP.
