Still can't find a timetable. But when he does return, I think it should be on the wing at this point. We aren't really getting production out of half of our top 6. Maybe that's where he could flourish. Because he doesn't even look as good this year at 3C as he did last season.

They had a late flight and day off, how do you suppose we get a medical update on a Sunday? Knock on Fil's door?

As long as he's not the RW on the Panarin and Strome line because then he's back to being center.

That hit looked so innocuous. Troubling if something so minor ends up being a significant injury for this kid. And again, of course, just as he was coming on.

I was so pissed when I saw him go down. He was absolutely flying out there and making plays. Goal, assist.

Then he gets hit by his own man? Seriously?

Is this going to be his thing now going forward? We get a young player coming into his own but now he can’t stay on the ice. Frustrating

Assume it's the same wrist he injured last year in collision with Pens' Rodrigues. Recall that Crosby revealed earlier this year that he is still dealing with a wrist injury he got from Reaves 7 years ago - Sidney Crosby Discusses His Wrist Injury

Hope for a strong recovery for Fil and that the staff opt for the best long-term approach and not just getting him back in this year

Wrist injuries are killer in football. I can’t imagine how much worse they are in hockey.

there are several NFL quarterbacks that I know that are still dealing with wrist injuries years after the initial contract. They are so hard to heal. As bad as high ankle sprains.

let's hope this complication is not the case
thought, fully unprepared, he just got his bell completely rung
and all this is variant on concussion

Unfortunately, I expect Chytil to turn into a bit of a ghost again.

He was hot last season before his injury and Im not sure he even recovered from it. We finally saw the same type of play from him again before he ran into Blais... and then bam.

Out again. Bad luck.

Hope I eat crow on this one

The Rangers placed Filip Chytil on injured reserve Saturday prior to their 5-3 victory over the Blue Jackets. Chytil had spent the previous two days skating on his own in the aftermath of an upper body injury (suspected to be a concussion) he suffered Nov. 6 in an early first-period collision with Sammy Blais during the Rangers’ loss at Calgary.

greeeattttttttttttt.....

It really sucks for this kid because this is the third or fourth time he's been hit with a setback in his young career just as he appeared to get some momentum. It's still too early to give up on him, but he might down the path as an injury-prone player.

That's no good. Besides their goal last night that third line looked dead in the water and that was against Columbus.

Elite vision and playmaker. Only way he hits his linemates in stride

Don't really see him being "elite" in either of those areas. He's very good yea, but "elite" is a whole other ball game.

He seems like a middle 6 player. I still think center, but I would be shocked if he ever put up more 60 points in any given season.

NYR should be looking to deal for a center - or moving Kakko or Laff there immediately.

Kupari, Kupari, Kupari. Kid has top 6 potential and plays a physical, 200 foot game and doesn't suck on faceoffs. Right now he's playing on LA's 3rd line. Once Byfield returns, Kupari will get pushed down to the 4th line. He deserves a better position than that. I am not sure 4th line minutes will be the best spot for him to develop his game, which if I were him, I wouldn't be all that happy about.

Kopitar has the 1C job for at least one more season. Danault has been very good for them, so he's likely to stay at 2C for this season and when Byfield is ready, move down to 3C. Kings still need to find room for Turcotte, Vilardi, Madden, Pinelli, JAD, Thomas down the road.

I think Kupari would be totally "gettable" if we gave up one of our young D. I would even go as far as to say Miller for Kupari would be a decent deal for both teams. I might want a little higher ceiling if I were moving Lundkvist, but honestly, I am not sold Lundkvist will be SO good that a Lundkvist for Kupari swap wouldn't eventually work out in the Rangers favor. I think he'd be a perfect 3C for us this season and a perfect 2C next year and beyond. Jones or Robertson would be other options to send their way. All though I would honestly prefer keeping Jones, Robertson and Lundkvist to Miller.

But seeing how Drury has gone about things, he will probably make a play for someone like Sean Kuraly or Adam Lowry because he still thinks we don't have enough "grit". And i could totally see him trading someone like Jones or Miller for a very limited, dead end center who will never be more than a bottom 6 minute muncher and maybe PK guy. It seems to be his style.
