So keeping him makes sense?I don’t understand why they scratched Kreider. Has he been good? Absolutely not. But he also hasn’t been one of the big problems.
The three main issues are:
1. Horrible group of defensemen
2. A system with absolutely no structure
3. Our 1C is a giant Whoopi cushion
Scratching or trading Kreider won’t fix any of these issues.
He deflects pucks and occasionally scores on breakaways. In all my years as a ranger fan i've never seen a key player, do so little to affect the outcome of a game for his team.
Mika is at least missing open nets and passing the puck from behind the net to players that aren't there...
Chris is just wearing a uniform and on the ice at this point.
