Chris Kreider remains top prospect for New York Rangers

mza is't a prospect, neither is palmieri theyre older and have played more professional hockey they your prototypical "prospect" IMO thats why they shouldnt be on the list, but whoo the hell knows..

Was hoping Kreider would have a Calder type year as well. I think the combination of being sent down, not being given the time that other Calder candidates are getting and being on a playoff team were detrimental.

Perhaps if Kreider was on the Panthers or Blue Jackets, where he might have to carry the weight more, we'd see a better year.

I doubt it. He was supposed to be a 2nd line player this year and fell on his face. Why would it be different anywhere else? He has a ways to go.

Maybe. But the kid just won the SEL version of the Conn Smythe. That's pretty damn promising.

Yeah but it's the SEL. This is a league where Mats Zuccarello was Pavel Bure.

Not to take anything away from Mats Zuccarello but let's be honest, he's not any more than a middle 6 player in the NHL.

Agreed. But Silfverberg won it last year. If OL becomes nearly as good as Silfverberg, I'd say that's pretty damn good. Also, I'd love to have a 3C with "JAM" and some offense, which OL could potentially bring.
