We're CLEAN, we PROMISE!
Rangers’ Chris Kreider gets a qualified vote of confidence
Not really earth shattering, but lots of really old threads on his prior signings, so I am starting this. Everything Chris.
I suppose this is a 2 sided gamble, in NOT signing him to an extension. He plays well, it raises his value come deadline.
He gets injured, we will be stuck with him going into free agency and possibly getting nothing in return.
Either way, teams KNOW what Chris brings to the ice.
With GM's not throwing around 1st's so easily (see last year) and GM's underpaying for rentals (rightly so), I suppose Chris will still have value even if he is injured (depends how badly though) Gives said team, a better chance in signing him moving forward.
I still have hopes we keep him somehow, but it seems the writing is on the wall and I also suppose moving him would be BEST for the future and sustainability of this team. Guess we have to get there first.
