Time to fleece Ken Holland while we can
Regardless of what happens, it is time for Shanahan to be relieved of his duties as President after 11 years.
Many teams:Who the hell could afford both?
Quennville was never an option to restart his coaching here. It would've been a sideshow.Tre deserves more time without Shanny influencing things. If they fire Berube, who is a better option? The best one now works for Anaheim.
Matthews doesn't do wild.Matthews trying to call out "passengers" was an absolutely wild statement coming from him. I can't believe these are the guys management believed in so much lol
Quite interesting, considering Mirtle is also saying something similar.
Marner and Shanahan are pretty much guaranteed.theres no way anymore that this is the case. i expect a bunch of management to be gone too.
Well said. The fan base will accept a complete reset, this is the time. These guys are damaged beyond repair here, just acknowledge it and move on. We had great leadership pieces around them this year, it doesn't matter they fall apart. Everything and anything should be on the table.
It's over, I think everyone understands that now.
We get fleeced KEEPING this motherf***er.Matthews’ value has never been lower. Least productive season of his career and an obvious injury that could very well require surgery.
The Leafs get fleeced in any trade.
Well...
I think it would have to be Matthews because his comments, are typically measured.
I don't think it was accidental that he threw others under the bus.
I think he knows Marner, who punctuated Matthews comment, is gone, and who knows...maybe he's looking for a place that would accommodate them both?
Yes.Here’s a question, can Marner stop the Leafs from trading his rights because of his NMC?
Keeping him has been a lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, situation too though to be fair. He ain't it.trading 34 is a lose lose situation. I hope we don’t go there
But if you DID trade him, you have to replace those 45 goals in the regular season, and honestly, without his production against Ottawa, they may have not even beaten Ottawa in round 1.Maybe they sell high on Nylander?
Wouldn't be a popular move but his value is extremely high right now.
