Fox Sports Arizona ran a story about the Coyotes wanting to put their AHL affiliate in Arizona. That was basically the catalyst that started the AHL moving west poop storm we have now.

The "AHL Moving West" poop storm started years ago. That story only added one small pebble to it.

Yes the story of the AHL started right after the merger, but it does come and go. The Fox Sports Arizona is what restarted again this time.

Yeah he and maybe the head of ticket sales were on a scissor lift for about a week.

While they're digging the hole for this stunt, they should dig the grave of the CHL next to it. And leave space for the grave of a future AHL team in Prescott Valley. I think the AHL West could be effective in other Western locations- but not there. Best opportunity for PHX is to realign with San Antonio. Back to the CHL, where is the league if they lose PV? The ground seems to be crumbling away under the feet of the CHL (pun intended).

I'm just waiting for Keith Olbermann to give this stunt the attention it truly deserves on his ESPN2 show(as in, name him Worst Person in the Sports World). Maybe if we send him the story he'll take note of it...

Besides, if you're going to do a stunt, give Nik Wallenda a call. At least we know he can pull stunts off safely.

Update on this story it's been over 100 hours underground and they've only sold 50 season tickets. Their even offering free Ted Nudgent tickets to anyone who buys season tickets. The story is on deadspin.com if anyone's interested.
