Imagine taking Oliver Kapanen over Winterton

Don't want to......The incapacity to know what a potable C is was mindboggling. Hopefully, it stopped with his departure. Still..there's certainly quite a few Timmins fans in the scouts we still have in place. Hopefully, we'll see a few departures right after the draft.

Though at the time, I did have Winterton as one of my targets. But Mazur had to be right on top of the BPA at that pick too.

Watching Johnston and McTavish play you'd think Wyatt is the 3rd overall pick....

Patrick Thomas steals the puck behind Windsor's net, puts it in front to McTavish, 1st chance is a great save by Onuska. Rebound McTavish puts in backhand.

3-2 Hamilton.

Wow, 3 huge saves by Constantini as Windsor ferociously attacks the net.

EN situation and Sobolov was actually on the ice. He got the puck in the zone on the transition.

1:27 left.

I thought I read somewhere a series or two ago that Mysak is playing injured and was put in more of a defensive roll.

Mysak has been playing injured for a while (according to Hamilton HF board peeps that are close to his junior team).

To be fair some of them feel Mysak didn’t progress much this year. He’s been used as 3C / shutdown role and PP2 in the playoffs.

He's definitely injured. He's missed the odd game here or there during these playoffs, as well as left a few games early.

I think at center he plays more of a defensive role anyway. He's better offensively on LW.

Back when I drafted Cuylle at 56 in the mock, I was told by some it was too high. I don't remember anyone liking the pick.

EDIT: And Mysak got picked at 22 and was met with positive feedback.

There has to be a difference between what we think HERE and what's being down THERE. I never know why we can't make the difference. In the end, we have fun. Those supposed pros are working. With 99.9 % more of the info we have. And their decisions is what makes the teams good. Not ours. So yes, at that time, and maybe it still does, Mysak was a very good pick. Just like Collberg was. And also, what Cuylle is doing now is not necessarily what Cuylle will do in the NHL. Cuylle was pick 60 in the NHL. So in the end...yes...you picked him too high...;)

He has to. He's completely ineffective.

I remember in my many mock drafts that are available online, I had made sure to select Cuylle, Coe, and Sokolov every time. Three players with size and skill.

I also got into some debates with a poster or two who said Cuylle would be taken in the 3rd round or later. I was saying that someone will take him in the 2nd round. Lo and behold, he was taken in the 2nd round. I made sure to let the posters know I was right. ;)

Tonight's playoff matches:

- Game 6 of Hamilton vs. Windsor @ 7PM ET (if Hamilton wins, they win the OHL Championship)

- Game 6 of Edmonton vs. Seattle @ 9:30PM ET (if Edmonton wins, they win the WHL Championship)

It'll be a double header on TSN 4.
