You watch any of Seattle games? Looking at the stats, Korchinski has 3 goals in 4 games. Kind of surprising in that he only scored 4 goals all year. Also Gustafson maybe one of our 3rd round picks? He's putting up points in playoffs

I like Korchinski... doubt he'll be there with the CGY pick... but that would be nice...

Hamilton complete the sweep of Peterborough with a 7-3 win.
- Mysak with 1 assist / -2 / 1 SOG / 45% FOW
- Xhekaj with 2 pts (1G, 1A) / +2 / 1 SOG / 2 PIM

Windsor takes a 3-1 series lead with a 4-1 win over Sarnia.
- Sobolev with 1 assist / +2 / 2 SOG

Edmonton completes the sweep of Lethbridge with a 6-4 win.
- Guhle with 1 assist / 5 SOG

Guhle, Vrbetic & Mysak/Xhekaj all swept their opponents in the first round.

I updated the OP.

There are no prospects in CHL playoff action tonight.

Only prospect in playoff hockey tonight is Sobolev @ 7PM. It's clear he's the only one playing as the other prospects have all moved on to the 2nd round and the ones in the Q haven't started yet.

It's Game 5 against Sarnia. If Windsor wins, they win the series and advance to the 2nd round.

In the OHL, only Hamilton and North Bay have advanced to the 2nd round. However, if Kingston wins tonight against Oshawa and Saut Ste. Marie wins against Guelph, they will both advance. They're both up 3-1 on the series.

The other two series in the OHL (London vs. Kitchener & Flint vs. Owen Sound) are each tied 2-2. So they will at least require a Game 6.

In the WHL, Edmonton, Portland, Seattle, Kamloops, Winnipeg & Moose Jaw are all in the 2nd round.

If Red Deer beats Brandon tonight, they will advance to the 2nd round. But if Brandon wins, they will force a Game 7. The other unfinished series is Everett vs. Vancouver. They're tied 2-2, so they will get to at least a Game 6.

Ty Voit scores in OT to send Windsor-Sarnia series to a 6th game. Windsor now up 3-2.

Windsor should have won in regulation. I think they out shot Sarnia 50-25, or something, but Benjamin Gaudreau was just excellent in net for Sarnia

No idea why we drafted Sobolov. Kid is a bottom pairing, grinding, defensive D on Windsor. I can't see him playing in AHL nevermind NHL. Barely played.

Yeah he's a non prospect. He's the Jack Smith of last year's class.

They tried him because of the missed year of hockey.

He is one of the prospects that no one ever believed in, but Pezzetta was probably one of those guys before this year. So at least they are not batting .000 for this category of low-potential late-rounders.

I updated the OP with the QMJHL playoff series for the Habs' prospects.

Charlottetown will face Moncton.
Acadie-Bathurst will face Halifax.
Sherbrooke will face Baie-Comeau.

Unbelievable comeback by Oshawa Generals. Kingston had a 4-1 lead with 7-and-a-half minutes left. Generals scored twice in one minute around the 6 minute mark to make it 4-3.

EN. Face-off in Kingston's end with 3 seconds left after multiple icings by Kingston. Gens wins draw, Tullio is in shooting position and one-times the clean draw win into top corner with 1.5 seconds left.

An absolute bullet of a shot.

It's going to OT.

Some say he will start his pro career in the ECHL, I don't think so.

Yeah, no way. He's a physical beast. His puck skills are underrated too. Knows how to use his stick & length to take away passing / shooting lanes too.

We'll see how he does at camp next fall, but he's not far from being NHL ready.

I mean, it's hard to say.

Harris is almost a lock for the NHL squad.

Then you have Norlinder, Guhle, Barron, Fairbrother and Brook at the AHL level and you need some vets. Wouldn't be surprised if Belpedio, Ouellet (C) and Bisson are back, which would take Xhekaj to the ECHL 1st pair for TOI.

If Norlinder, Barron or Guhle makes it to the NHL, it leaves more space, but it's not a guarantee.

I guess there is also a possibility they cut loose Brook due to injuries, but I wouldn't count on it.

Just an absolutely horrible no goal call against Sarnia in Windsor-Sarnia game. Puck was clear, ref was on correct side to see that, puck gets stuffed in then back of net comes up, ref calls no goal. 2-0 Windsor.

Sarnia gets a PP with an EN goal to make it 2-1. 90 seconds left.

Not sure Brook gets a Q.O.

Harris is in the NHL unless he blows it in training camp.

Fairbrother is more than likely to be in ECHL than Xhekaj.

Guhle - Barron
Xhekaj - Norlinder
Bisson - Belpedio or Ouellet

D at NHL level is really up in the air, so we'll see.

I think you are underestimating Fairbrother. He's a pretty good D when healthy.

I also think it's too early to give up on Brook who was trending well before his big injury.

My prediction is Xhekaj starts in the ECHL in a key role until Norlinder/Barron/Guhle/Brook get promoted after some NHL Ds are traded away.

Getting 1st pair D+PK+PP at the ECHL level might be better than being 6th D at the AHL level for him.

Also, vets like Belpedio and Ouellet, will not play 3rd pair/spare in the AHL.
