CHL expands import draft to 3 rounds

Is this potentially in response or with consideration that the CHL may lose some players to NCAA hockey?

Or has this been in consideration for some time now?

Personally I like it as I'd like to see as much talent in the CHL as possible. With other expansion rumors too it helps fuel the player pool without as much drop off.

USA not subject to import rules. Left out the first three intentionally because you’re less likely to get fringe CHL players coming over so anyone that does likely cleared the “two per team” threshold easily.
