Interesting dilemma for the top draft eligible skaters that I don’t see mention of. Why would someone like Misa commit if he has a real chance at making an NHL roster next season?
More straightforward for everyone else, but I’m not sure when or how to make this decision if I’m the caliber of prospect who has a real — but not certain — chance of going to the NHL right away.
Don’t think Isogai has a collegiate commitment at this point. Believe he was originally an Ohio State commit but that would’ve been broken because he jumped to the CHL a couple of years ago. Not on the Heisenberg list

I doubt misa or Martone commit until they discuss their chances of making the nhl roster with whichever team drafts them. Obviously a long shot for Martone and misa does have the potential pull of one last time playing with his brother.

Probably just a chat with the drafting team. Could also do the play a season of college and then sign ELC and get games in towards end of season thing.
I mentioned this in a different group but I would love for him to define "bloodbath".
Most CHL folks understand that 5 or 6 or so big names are likely headed to the NCAA and that a good chunk of 05's will also be announcing commitments, forgoing their OA seasons. If this is what he is referring to, I wouldn't count that as a bloodbath. That's just using hyperbolic wording to get engagement. Which you know fair play to him. That is the name of the game on social media.
15 or 20 big names (06's/07's) leaving right away would be a bloodbath IMO. I don't think he's talking about that kind of result.
I'm sure people will continue to tell me all the same that the most NIL anyone can get is one Starbucks drink (not venti) and that Canadians are ineligible for NIL....
Michigan State and Penn State look to be big players this summer in the CHLer pool of recruiting. Wouldn't be surprised to see them land a couple big ones. Spartans already have Lindstrom, they're gonna strike again.
I’m hearing a lot of USHL top kids are looking at the CHL for next year . It’s early but you will see some top kids leave for it but how many will be the question . The top BCHL kids like Dach From Canada are heading to the CHL . USHL definitely getting weaker .
You know it's a changing landscape when Swift Current (WHL) is signing American players now. Traditionally, that's one of the few small market teams that have never really been able to tackle that market.

Alex Hage is apparently going to Peterborough's development camp. Won't skate due to injury but maybe something to watch for in terms of a possible USHL defection.

That one sucks for SC. Thinking they are going to be entering about of a building cycle and Caswell could have been really helpful in recouping some younger players.
That said, a mid round draft pick that has had success in jr in his D+1 season is a prime player to go NCAA.
Now we wait to see who is next. The rumors are crazy right now.

Swift Current needs to prepare for the changing landscape, which they already have with signing Brock Burch (2009, Dubuque Iowa native) to the Standard Player Agreement. Get more US kids up to the Dub before they go to the NCAA
