I think Michigan is going to be after nearly every high end CHLer, same could apply with Boston University and Boston College. North Dakota has been surprisingly quiet in regards to going after CHLers, so we'll see what they do. You gotta think Denver & Wisconsin will go after more high end CHLers as well.

Wisconsin bagged an elite player already in Tulk, he's an 05 and undrafted (size) but expect him to be a very very good producer at the D-1 level.

Guys like Tulk are going to be the real gems NCAA teams can go after. Someone who's been passed over by the NHL draft but is still putting up great numbers in the CHL. Sure they will also get the occasional high end late birthday too for their draft year, but the 18 and 19 year olds that will be easier to land are like Tulk.

They really screwed all the 2004 USA kids big time . Just think you did all the right things - went to league sanctioned to play NCAA- kept your dreams alive to get shot at div 1 college and they changed mid season and all the college decommit you . the big winner 2004 chl kids who had zero interest playing ncaa college - took a shot at pro with chl but heading U-sports but this fell on their lap and now can play usa college on full scholarship . Again , wish they just did next year because you probably have 450 2004 usa kids who were are playing -35-45 commited , and the rest hoping to maybe get a late offer all go up in smoke . In the future I dont get why have 358 nahl 2004- 30-40 bchl 2004- alot of ncdc where have zero shot div 1 . Like the Nahl - bchl would throw a carrot out there that it does happen 2004 but thats over now .

They'll be fine. There's 60+ NCAA teams, if they get good they can transfer up from D3.

The solution for those kids is to work harder & get better. If you're good enough, you'll have a spot.

Oh absolutely, you can also throw in players drafted in later rounds who will use the longer runway the NCAA provides in order to round out their game for the pros.
