Canadians CANNOT get NIL money.....

Active endorsement money which is the big money maker.

They can still make a little bit (such as money that might be paid for being in an EA game if it had NCAA).

What stinks hearing a lot of bchl - some nahl -other 20 year kids(2004) have been getting decommited . Remember , these are kids were playing in those league because wanted go fo college and now getting tossed like trash by schools - which to my point they should kept in courts to the spring then settle and start next year . scumag move by ncaa but at least they are consistent .

Yeah, that's the biggest short-term down side to this. Kids have planned their entire life around going to college via a hockey scholarship, and they've now lost that. Obviously, this will stop after a year or two, but it's an issue right now. I really feel for those kids.

Better move now is to sign a CHL contract and get guaranteed money to use for College. If player isn't good enough for D1 can use to help pay for D3.

Players are being wooed south of the border with full rides and NIL money, though, as international students, that income is a lot less for Canadians — but still significant — compared to the dough players born in the United States can make.

NCAA teams can’t back out once a NLI is signed. At that point they are obligated to provide what was agreed upon. Anything prior to this is not binding by any means. The player had as much of a right to walk away from the school than the school did to the player.

This has been a common thing for years. A kid commits at 16-17-18, doesn’t progress the way the school has liked and they are pushed out. Its actually fairly common. Not a scumbag move by any means. And who cares if the players have the right to jump ship the way they have been. Goes both ways.

Not really, its half way thru the season. Really late would be after the season is over. They have plenty of time
