I think that's being very optimistic. I'd put that number closer to 4 or 5 (from the CHL specifically).There are probably around a dozen or so 19 year old players that are ready to play and develop for a full season in the AHL. There are less than half a dozen 18 year old players who can do the same. A hybrid model that the CHL is proposing is probably the best way forward for most players.
U-Sports will most certainly have to change their recruiting practices.
