I definately hope for better results for the German teams. Only Cologne convinced me yesterday, Krefeld worked hard while Ingolstadt and Mannheim were just completely disappointing.

I am really looking forward to see Nottingham play.

I only saw part of the first period of Ingolstadt yesterday. The only one who seemed to be in the game was Pielmeier in goal. He had a few nice saves while I watched.

Looking at the boxscore they must have been really lazy and/or undisciplined they had over 20 penalty minutes, I think, while Viktovice had 6.

I might be watching the Eisbären game tonight, hopefully they will do better.

I'm cheering for Eisbaren tonight. Beat them !

just like they beat us in past :)

The Finnish clubs got early goals today to start the action, as Lauri Tukonen converted a stretch pass to give TPS Turku the lead, while Mikko Salmio scored on a blocker-side wrister for JYP Jyväskylä. Both clubs lead 1-0 midway through the first.

TPS Turku goes ahead 2-0, as Radek Smolenak bats a rebound out of the air past the keeper. It had a lengthy review, as it was close to being a high-stick, but ultimately was ruled a good goal.

JYP Jyväskylä also went ahead 2-0, as Eric Perrin slapped one low glove from the left faceoff dot.

Jyp 3-0 lead after Hubacek scored on penalty shot. No real scoring changes for Salzburg 13.45 left in 2nd.

TPS leads 6-0 when there's 7 minutes left on the clock in second period. There's only one team on the ice that can create scoring chances.

For Finns watching the JYP-Salzburg game, is it just me or is Mertaranta much more pleasing to the ear now that Finland isn't playing/it's not the Worlds?

As long as he sticks to the game and doesn't try to analyze the players or the teams too much.

Yes. Haven't heard any overhyping/paniking over little things or ridicilous stories. When he just focuses on the game he is actually good.

Jyp making the game hard for them. 8 minor penalties but only one goal by Salzburg

Heh. Five mins into the games and both Berlin and Hamburg are 0-1 down already :shakehead

Never would have guessed that John Hughes finds employement in the EBEL again after his drunken escapes last season.

It's dead quiet in the Hamburg - Lulea game. 0:3 already. Not sure if I can watch the rest of the game or just switch to Nottingham.

Hahhhaaa, Leska from Zlin in top scorer jersey. Can imagine ehat is he thinking about. WHat the hell they are doing to me in the end of the career:)))
