I remember all the commercials for "African Lion Safari", they were as common as the ones for Marineland.

Yup (according to the video on the website, they haven't changed their jingle in the last 3 decades).

The one and only time I was there was as a little kid...and a monkey ripped off the antenna from my dad's car (this would have been the late 80s).
