Happened in Beijing and has been posted a lot on Chinese social media sites. I read the original story in Chinese; apparently a husband and wife, along with their child and the woman's mother, went to a Safari. The wife was complaining about the husband's driving and got out of the car to replace him. Both she and her mom got mauled by the tiger.

EDIT: The tiger is censored in this video. I saw a different video where it wasn't censored.

EDIT 2: Actually this article reports that the woman was not killed, only severely injured. Her mother got killed trying to rescue her.

You could do the same thing in Canada... I went to some with my parents when I was a kid.

It wouldn't surprise me if the idea of a drive through park/safari in China came from North America.

I'm sure the rules/regulations as you enter say "DO NOT EVER GET OUT OF YOUR CAR" and "WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE".

I remember all the commercials for "African Lion Safari", they were as common as the ones for Marineland.

She took so long to get back in the car too. I don't know why (because I already knew the outcome) but when I was watching it I thought "oh good, she made it around the car, now just get in and everything is fine"

Drive thru parks work fine if oh, I don't know, you cage the ****ing tigers! :banghead: There's actually one near my grandmothers house. Guess what? They cage the ****ing big cats! :rant:

The entire point of drive thru parks is for the animals to be free, well at least more free than they normally would be and have the humans be "caged" by being in and staying in their cars.

I'm sure they had signs up before even entering saying, hey, don't be ****ing stupid and get out of the car.

there's an overpass over some train tracks and a river near my house that has signs on both ends of it that say "Caution: Do not jump over hand-rail"

Some people just can not be helped me thinks
