To me, the writing has been on the wall for a while now, they’re going to make up with Chicago.
Was hoping the same thing. An AHL team in Greensboro, NC (Greensboro Generals) would be nice and close.Well, shit.
I was really hoping they'd just buy a team to stop this from happening every year, but whatever. Just fix it.
Andrew chimes in whenever there is a mention of the Canes affiliate. He posted the "we were on a break meme" in the comments, too.To me, the writing has been on the wall for a while now, they’re going to make up with Chicago.
You don’t say…
I think we’ll have to wait for the ahl to expand when the nhl expands. 3 year agreement lines up with that nicelyUgh.
I was really hoping for that Baltimore rumor to become true. Going back to the Wolves I guess is better than nothing but it still sucks.
As far as I'm concerned, the Wolves should have been kicked out of the league for their stint.
Fat chance. The only thing they learned is that they can’t field a competitive team of AAAA veterans.Chicago learned their lesson I guess
It’s going to be tough for them to do that when we have a roster full of prospects.Fat chance. The only thing they learned is that they can’t field a competitive team of AAAA veterans.
I doubt much is going to change in the Wolves prioritization of veteran AHL players over more talented prospects.
Hope this doesn’t last the full 3 years.
I'm guessing part of the holdup/details is Canes getting some guaranteed measure of control and developmentFat chance. The only thing they learned is that they can’t field a competitive team of AAAA veterans.

Definitely, no way we’re getting back together with them without setting some serious ground rules.I'm guessing part of the holdup/details is Canes getting some guaranteed measure of control and development
We did that with the Checkers followed by ChicagoThe Hershey Bears model is the the one Chicago should use. Good balance between vets and youth might lead to two straight Calder Cups…
We did that with the Checkers followed by Chicago
But then Chicago suddenly knew better
