Was hoping the same thing. An AHL team in Greensboro, NC (Greensboro Generals) would be nice and close.

Sadly, this has seemed like a likely scenario for a while. If it comes to pass, I hope they can still find another solution in the long run. Perhaps both sides are trying to actually define certain aspects of the relationship this time around to avoid the things that each side took issue with last time.

I think we’ll have to wait for the ahl to expand when the nhl expands. 3 year agreement lines up with that nicely

Fine as a stopgap but hopefully that 3 years is just that and Dundon remains committed to buying a team as soon as possible.
Fat chance. The only thing they learned is that they can’t field a competitive team of AAAA veterans.
I doubt much is going to change in the Wolves prioritization of veteran AHL players over more talented prospects.
Hope this doesn’t last the full 3 years.
