Chicago could of drafted Ivan Demidov second, Cole Eiserman 18th and Cole Hutson 27th in the 2024 NHL Draft! They could of had a future top line with Bedard, Demidov and Eiserman along with an elite offensive defenseman in Hutson instead of Levshunov. This bad draft will really slow down their rebuild. What do you think?

EDIT: Chicago could of also drafted Gabriel Perreault 19th and Andrew Cristall 35th in the 2023 NHL Draft! As a Montreal Canadiens fan, I'm upset that they traded their 31st and 37th picks for Alex Newhook when they could of drafted Andrew Cristall with one of these picks instead.

The draft was 7 months ago. This is way premature. Im ecstatic the isles got Eiserman but these guys are all Still just prospects who haven’t accomplished anything yet. You may be right but it’s way too early to declare this.

These threads are funny. SO, in this alternate reality, Hutson still falls that far down? Same with Cole Eiserman? Can I have the name of your favourite team so I can make up the same list?

Is this one of those threads that gets bumped in 10 years and we all laugh at how preposterous it was due to how it turned out?

At the times of their picks I perferred Perreault over Moore, Demidov/Stolberg over Levshunov/Boisvert, and Hage over Boisvert.
Do you think that Michael Hage is a good pick by Montreal? They missed Cole Eiserman by only 1 pick. Who do you think will have the better NHL career?

Yeah, like that guy who dummies Vancouver's draft record in the 2000s by taking the highest CHL PPG player available at each pick
Teams have caught on to an extent but you have some silly drafts like 2014 where Vancouver taking the best statistical player with a bias towards professional leagues would result in Nylander, Pastrnak, Demko, Point, and had they kept their 4th Shesterkin(Or Arvidsson if they didn't want to draft multiple goalies), you might pick Olofsson and/or Kase too.
